Information we use

• Account details such as name, email, sign-in method and verification status.
• Contact details and needs you provide when enquiring about consultancy, product engagements, collaboration or pilots, used to handle and follow up the enquiry.
• Projects, documents, models, searches and other information you choose to save.
• Technical events required for operation, security, usage controls and error handling.
• Subscription and payment status. Card details are handled by the payment provider.
• Anonymous visitor statistics (Umami) for every visitor: page views, referrer, country and device type. Umami sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device; visits are counted with a regularly rotated key, not an identity tied to you.
• Optional analytics and marketing (Google Analytics, Google Ads) only when you have consented through cookie choices.

How it is used

We use the information to create and secure your account, deliver requested features, save work, meter usage, handle payment and support, and prevent errors or abuse.

When you choose an AI feature, the relevant instruction and necessary project excerpts may be sent through our servers to the selected model provider. Do not enter sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for the task.

Questions to the public Datakilde assistant and source search

Questions you ask the public Datakilde assistant or source search are stored without identifiers: we do not store an IP address, visitor key or user with the question. Before storing, we remove email addresses, phone numbers, national identity numbers and long runs of digits from the text.

The purpose is to improve the data catalogue: to see what people ask about and where we lack data. The question text itself is deleted after 30 days. A hash of the scrubbed text and counts (outcome, language, a coarse category and which sections had no data) are kept for up to 13 months.

The legal basis is legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): improving the service from what visitors actually ask, without linking the questions to anyone.

The assistant and source search use Groq as a sub-processor to produce the answer; the question and the data extract are sent there. If Groq is unavailable, Google Gemini may be used instead. Do not include personal information in your question.

Storage and sharing

We use technical providers for hosting, email, payments, error reporting and AI. They receive only what is necessary to provide the service. We do not sell personal information.

Account and project data is kept while the account is active or as needed for the agreement, security, accounting or legal requirements.

Your choices and rights

• Download a machine-readable copy of account data from Account → Privacy.
• Correct profile information or contact us to request access, correction, restriction or deletion.
• Withdraw optional consent through cookie choices.
• Complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority if you believe your information is handled unlawfully.
